i was smiling through the whole prayer because (1) our pastor surprisingly forgot how to pronounce mathias' name ("math-ay-as") and (2) the elder who prayed for us got confused and prayed for baby "math-ay-as" instead. oh well. it was still nice. =)

poopy pants

funny story about this picture...

yesterday we got this cute outfit in the mail from Keith & Karen Barber. i thought he should wear it right away and i could get his picture to send to the Barbers. well, the night before (in the middle of the night) i had run out of the diapers i keep on the changing table and i didn't want to open a new pack in the middle of the night. so i grabbed a couple diapers that were in the diaper bag. one of them was a kind of diaper i had decided i didn't like because it doesn't hold everything in as well as the others. but this morning, when i dressed dominic, it was the last diaper and i thought, "oh what the heck. i'm sure it will be fine." haha. =)

he had not been wearing the outfit an hour when he had a big loud poop. typical. he generally prefers to poop in a clean diaper. i figured i'd change him sooner than later. i picked him up only to realize that poop was seeping through his brand new overalls! it went all the way up his back, all over the onesie and through the overalls. sweet.

i guess i should have taken a picture of him from the back. this picture hides what's really going on.
