at thanksgiving last year we were wondering if dominic would show up in time to celebrate with us. nope. he came a few days later (although i still cooked a full thanksgiving meal for mathias & me - i love thanksgiving food).
so this was really dominic's first thanksgiving! and my parents were there - we had such a great time with them.
here's what i'm thankful for this year: my inability to secure a job! it seems crazy (and it's not easy on the finances) but i have a had a fantastic fall season hanging out with dominic & mathias - what could be better? plus, being poor is such freedom. who knew? it turns out that - for me at least - it's easier when i just know i simply can't afford it. that's it. forget about it.
